Obaro celebrates emerging farmers

Obaro recently hosted a graduation ceremony for emerging farmers who successfully completed the Obaro Mixed Farming programme. This programme is presented in collaboration with Peritum Agri with the goal of providing farmers with practical knowledge and skills to be applied on their own farms.

Farmers, who successfully complete the programme, are awarded a National Certificate in Mixed Farming at NQF level 2. The programme consists of four modules (Farm Management, Sustainable Farming Practice, Crop Farming and Livestock Farming) and equips farmers with knowledge of the greater economic structure that agriculture operates within.

“Ensuring a better tomorrow is everybody’s responsibility, which is why Obaro is involved in various training programmes to help grow a better future for everyone in the community which we serve. Farming and farmers will always be at the centre of Obaro’s existence and programmes like this support our mission to be aligned with the farmer. Congratulations to everyone who completed the programme!” said Nic Bronkhorst, Managing Director of Obaro.
