Obaro personnel reaches out

Obaro personnel visited Field of Dreams Children’s Centre in Magaliesburg on Friday, 1 March 2019. During this visit stationery and a few other items, such as fruits and toys was gifted.

Field of Dreams is a care centre which serves as a safe harbour for children of the Magaliesburg area. The centre currently has various teaching initiatives in place to empower children from underserved communities to provide them with a better future. The centre currently has 138 pupils in their care and according to Example Valoyi, coordinator of Field of Dreams, the number increases almost daily.

Despite various challenges, the staff from Field of Dreams Children’s Centre provide an essential service. According to Example the organisation is dependent on donations, as they do not receive any form of financial support from the Government. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that people are made aware of this organisation and their needs.

Example thanked Obaro on behalf of the Field of Dreams staff and learners for their contribution to the organization. “When you find yourself in the privileged position to be able to give back to your community, it’s your duty to do so. It’s always a privilege to work with Field of Dreams in an attempted to empower the youth. The future of our country lies with the youth and we have a responsibility towards them.” said Nic Bronkhorst, Managing Director of Obaro.
